Moorland Plantation II, oil on board, 10" x 6" 2009
Everybody hates conifer plantations except me. I know they're not all singing dancing biodiversity hotspots and all that, but I still like them. They're kind of forbidding yet comforting. And, at the moment, I love them for painting too, the deep darkness and sharp, spiked outline.
In other news, the big thing is the return of Go Reborn . After the hot summer success of the innovative pop-up creative workspace/showcase, the Reborn heads are taking over a space in Edinburgh's Princes Mall for December. Keep up with all the happenings at the Go reborn blog .
